My greatest fear was that my mother would die alone.
She was so afraid of being alone in her final hour.

I prayed to God daily:
“Please God, do not let her die alone.”

It never even entered my mind...
I never dreamed that it would happen this way.

That God would honor my prayer
By allowing her to leave this world
As I held her close in my arms.

She was there as I entered this world.
I was blessed to be there as she departed to a far better world.
