Photography sessions can be almost
anywhere: In studio, outdoors at your favorite location, or at
your home or office. You are welcome to bring a friend
or family member. A typical session will
include anywhere from 30 to several hundred shots, depending on the
length of the session, which will be narrowed down to the best shots for your
review. For outdoor and location sessions, there is
always a small risk that we may have to reschedule due to weather.
(See Cancellation / Rescheduling section
for more information.)
Weekend / Holiday Fee
I book all of my photography during the week. Though I am
generally not available on weekends or holidays, I realize sometimes
that is the only opportunity that you may have available to you.
Depending on the specific date, I can sometimes make an exception,
as my schedule and other obligations allow. A higher
session fee applies for a
weekend or holiday session, depending on the date.

Venue Fee
Some popular locations charge a fee for
photo sessions. For example, Zilker Botanical Gardens charges $50 per session as of June 16, 2007. Other venues such
as Mayfield Park may soon have a similar session fee. Dunvegan Keep requires a fee of $45 for family portrait sessions,
$125 for bridal sessions. If you choose to use a location that charges a fee, you will be
required to pay the fee as a part of the Booking Deposit.
Photography on Location / Travel
Applies to all non-studio sessions.
For example: Travel to location shoot, outdoors, area park or
other location, your home, office, etc.

Location Scouting |

Reimbursable ExpensesCommercial Work: Reimbursable expenses are in
addition to compensation for services, and include items
such as printing, photocopying, additional travel costs
(e.g. air travel), lodging, meals, long distance
telecommunications, FAX transmission, freight and
postage, and any other miscellaneous expenses incurred on
behalf of the project. Reimbursable expenses will be
invoiced at 1.15 times the actual cost.
Nonrefundable Deposit
Due at Time of Booking
A nonrefundable Booking Deposit is required in order to book a session.
Your Deposit will be applied toward your Session Fee.
For non-commercial photography, the amount of the Deposit depends on the
estimated length of the
Session. For photo shoots involving travel outside of the Austin area, a
higher Deposit is required, and must be paid at least 2 weeks in
advance. If there is a separate Venue Fee (see above),
it will be added to the Deposit amount.

Booking A Session
You must
contact Kevin Gourley Photography to schedule your session. Once
your session has been scheduled, you may
pay the
Deposit online by clicking here, or you may pay by
check.
Deposits are not refundable and
should be paid as soon as possible after the session date/time is
set.
*** Until payment for the Booking Deposit is received, no session is considered "confirmed".

Cancellation / Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your session for a different date or time,
please try to do so at least 3 days prior to the scheduled session
date. If you cancel or reschedule less than 24
hours before the session time, or do not appear for the session, the
deposit is forfeited and you must pay a
new deposit in order
to re-schedule a new session date/time. The
new deposit is
non-refundable and will be applied toward your new session fee and
order total. If it is raining at the time of the
photo session, we can reschedule without forfeiting your deposit.
IMPORTANT: A
prediction of rain does not mean the shoot will be canceled! In
most cases, the shoot can take place as scheduled without
significant interference at the time of the shoot.
In fact, the light can be quite nice on rainy
overcast days! We will be in contact with you should bad weather
potentially be an issue with the shoot, and if you have doubts, please
call to avoid loss of your deposit!
Rush Orders
Sometimes you encounter a situation
where you suddenly need a headshot or other type of photography
done, on short notice. That's the way "life" happens!
If you find yourself in that predicament, I can sometimes
accommodate rush service, even same day or next day service.
Of course, I charge extra for this, but if you have an emergency,
I'm ready with my fire extinguisher (so to speak).

is to let me know prior to booking a service if you need
instant turnaround!
The use of a professional makeup
artist can greatly enhance the resulting portrait or headshot.
A makeup artist is worth considering if you need to be looking your very best
for the photographs.

- Image border or text (e.g. your name) or logo imprints
(you provide logo)
- Various creative filters applied
- Alternate digital cropping

If you have an old

Chromakey / Background Elimination
or Replacement
I also offer photography against a "chromakey"
background (blue or green screen) for use in removing and
substituting the background of an image. This is often
useful for commercial and advertising purposes.
Very basic editing is included in the standard $25 Image
Preparation Fee. Depending on the nature of the photography,
and image complexity, there may be an additional charge.

fulfillment of the Order. |

Copyrights (c) to all images. It is ILLEGAL to copy or reproduce
these photographs elsewhere without a written license from Kevin
Gourley Photography, and violators will be subject to criminal and
civil penalties under Federal Law.
